A new chapter unfolds in this enriching journey of life.
After two decades spent at St. Andrews Bowenpally, first as a teacher and then as
a Vice Principal, new avenues are being opened up as I take on the position of Principal
at St. Andrews Marredpally – which is now growing into a middle school and later
into a secondary school.
What makes St. Andrews such a wonderful school to associate with is the fact that
it is a school of constant happening – every academic year, something new is planned
to expand ways of thinking and engaging. A true sense of work prevails in this community,
and it constantly enriches the process of education.
My vision for St. Andrews Marredpally as it goes forward is to empower students
in acquiring the value education and skills that will help them throughout their
lives. In this regard, the ability to be tolerant and appreciate another person’s
point of view, even if this view may not match one’s own, and to accept that every
student is unique and special in their own way is paramount, and this is an ethic
that we at St. Andrews actively foster.
In addition, special focus is placed on working with a team/family to ensure that
a person can fulfill their responsibilities without feeling too much pressure; such
a safe environment is where one feels committed to being creative and caring.
It has been rightly said: education is a shared commitment between teachers, students
and parents. It is my hope that this spirit of collaboration and open-mindedness
will make for exciting opportunities and fulfilling future for the St. Andrews,
Marredpally community.
