We have three branches in the city. At Marredpally, Bowenpally and the new school
at Keesara.
2. What kind of students does SAS admit ?
The school admits children without regard to race, colour, sex, caste or
religion. We seek students who can cope with the programme of study, who are
curious, eager and whose parents are supportive of the school's mission. For

3. What are your intake years?
St. Andrews accepts students at all year levels, where vacancies are available.
Major intake years is at the Kindergarten level. (Pre K and LKG).
4. What is the class size?
Class size range from 35 to 40 students.
5. Age Criteria for Pre K
In order to start school in June, children must turn 2+ by May of the year of admission.
6. At what age can my child be admitted at Kindergarten?
Children who are 3 years of age by June 1st of the year of admission can be enrolled in the LKG.
7. How will I be notified of admissions?
Notification of admission are put out in the local dailies in the last week of
November and on our website. Prospectus and admission forms will be available at the school administrative offices.
8. How do I register my child for admission?
You are automatically registered for admission on submission of the application form.
9. Does registration guarantee admission?
Admission to KG is based on space availability and interaction with the child
and parents. Applicants will be invited to visit and participate in a number
of activities. At this time the Principal will observe the child to determine,
if the child is ready for the Kindergarten programme.
10. Entry at Other Class levels
Admissions are made based on the entrance tests and interaction with the student and their parents.
Student are tested in English, Mathematics and II Language.
11. What is the academic year schedule?
The school year consists of three terms.
First Term : Jun - Sep
Second Term : Oct - Dec
Third Term : Jan - Apr
12. When does the school day begin?
The school begins at 8.25 am and ends at 3.00 pm with Saturday being a holiday. The school day is divided into nine periods with two recesses.
13. What Curriculum does SAS offer?
We offer the CBSE curriculum at Marredpally , Bowenpally and Keesara branches.
SSC of Andhra Pradesh is only offered at the Marredpally and Bowenpally branches.
14. Children with Special Education Needs
Our school considers the special education needs of children who have learning
difficulties. We have a student support team to develop and implement suitable programme
to support children with learning difficulties.
15. What is the Andrews teaching philosophy?
We believe in challenging students with an intellectually, stimulating and appropriate
learning environment. Learning is experiential and dynamic. Teachers use a variety of teaching
methods to suit different learning styles.
16. What is the faculty like?
Our faculty are experts in their respective fields. 50% of them have been at SAS for 10 or
more years. Faculty is chosen not only for their subject mastery but also their nurturing skills.
17. Where do I get the books and stationery required?
Books and stationery are available at the school sales counter. In the month of May,
a number of counters are opened to facilitate purchase of books and uniforms.
18. Where can I purchase the school uniform?
Regular school uniforms and sports uniforms of all sizes are available at special
counters during the annual sale of books and uniforms in May. After which school uniforms will
be available at the school sales counter. Please note sizes will be subject to availability.
19. Sports Uniforms
Students of Class VI to X wear the sports uniforms on the days of the games class.
20. Fee payment
Fee payments can be made for the whole academic year, for each term or on a monthly basis.
Payment should be made on or before the 15th of every month. All payments to the school should be made in cash.
All financial transactions must be between the parents and school office. Children are not permitted to bring money to school.
21. What is the fee structure like?
The School fee is revised annually by the School Board and will be notified at the beginning of the academic year or at the time of admission.
22. Is there a provision for online payment?
Online payment is currently unavailable. Proposals are in the pipeline.
23. Is there a Admission fee and a Caution Deposit to be paid?
Admission fee is payable once, at the time of admission, to cover administrative costs.
This is non-refundable. Caution Deposit payable at the time of admission but only refunded
when the student leaves the school. Under no circumstances will the Caution Deposit be adjusted
against the school fees.
24. Does the school accept a donation at the time of admissions?
We are a self financing school and we do not accept any donations at the time
of admissions or any time thereafter. Merit is the only criteria for admissions.
25. Admission Policy
Parents must submit a completed application. Admissions is based on
space availability with preference first given to siblings.
26. Medical Form
All children entering the school must submit a written health record, to be filled up
by the child primary health care provider before they enter school.
27. Homework Policy
Students are assigned homework on a daily basis. Good grades are the result of students
keeping up with their assignments. Student record their homework in the student handbook.
Parents are encouraged to monitor their homework.
28. Is there a cafeteria?
We do not offer this facility. Parents are required to pack a healthy school lunch as food eaten at
school affects their energy level, concentration and contributes significantly to the child's nutrient intake.
29. Do you have extra curricular activities ?

30. What sport do you offer?
Sponsors and competes in inter school tournaments at city and regional levels.
Sports include Cricket, Football, Basketball, Chess, Skating etc.
31. What music opportunities are available?
Students have the opportunity to develop their musical talent from
the beginning. Children are trained to play the instruments for the school marching band.
For vocalist a range of choirs is available.
32. Do you have a bus service?
Students of the school living within the catchment area qualify for transport. The transport
department is well established and provides service to different parts of the city. For more details

We believe in open communication and working in partnership with parents.
Parent Teacher meeting or Contact days are held each term and the dates communicated in the Student Handbook.
