Develop
qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular
outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service
among the youth, to make them useful citizens.
Create a
human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership
in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be available always for the
service of the Nation.
NCC was introduced into the curriculum of St. Andrews during the session
2003-2004 under 4(A) BN., NCC, Secunderabad Group Head Quarter Troop No. 81,
Army Wing. In the beginning, 100 boys were enrolled from the classes VIII and
IX only. Now even girls have started taking active role in this program.
